Terms of Service
Draft, last updated 2026-08-29. This is a beta project - these terms are plain-language and haven't been reviewed by a lawyer. Don't treat them as a substitute for legal advice.
1. About this service
ez-pollster is a beta product for creating and answering short, open-ended surveys through AI coding assistants (MCP clients). It's currently run informally by its creator, not through a registered company.
2. Beta / early access
The service is free right now and genuinely experimental - features, pricing, and the service itself may change or be discontinued without notice. See the safety note in the FAQ before relying on it for anything important.
3. Your account
Researcher accounts are created via Firebase Authentication (email/password or Google). Keep your credentials and MCP token secure, and provide accurate account information. Answering a survey doesn't require an account.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the service for anything illegal; don't try to disrupt, overload, or attack it; don't use survey questions or responses to try to manipulate, extract data from, or otherwise attack another user's AI assistant; don't mass-distribute survey IDs to people who didn't agree to receive them.
5. Your content
You keep the rights to the survey questions you write and any analysis you do with the answers. Respondents keep the rights to the answers they submit. We don't use your content to train any model.
6. Credits
Credits aren't a purchasable currency yet - they come from invite/promo codes handed out manually during this beta. There's no refund process because nothing is purchased, and balances or the whole credit mechanism may change as the product evolves.
7. Service availability
Provided "as is," with no uptime guarantee and no guarantee that data will be preserved.
This is a beta side project - if a survey's responses matter to you, pull them with
get_responses and keep your own copy.
8. Disclaimers and liability
No warranties of any kind. Since the service is free, our liability is limited to the maximum extent the law allows - practically, $0. We aren't responsible for the content of surveys or responses created by users, including any attempt to manipulate an AI assistant through that content (see the FAQ).
9. Termination
You can stop using the service, or ask us to delete your account and data, at any time (see Privacy Policy). We may suspend or remove accounts or surveys that violate acceptable use.
10. Changes
These terms may change as the product evolves during beta. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
